Spending money on city infrastructure and maintenance of our existing buildings is money well spent. After all, if you’re a homeowner you know that things need to be maintained. Spending money on pet projects and other things when we do not have the cash for is not a good idea. I understand sometimes you have to spend money to make money as attracting people and businesses is always needed for our community. However, at this point in time money should be spent wisely. Doing small municipal projects with city employees can save money. My goal is to make sure money is spent wisely on important and needed projects with the amount of debt we have. When we get in control of our debt, that is the time that more lavish projects should be looked at.
